Recap | Tastebuds NAAAP-DC Dinner Series at Satay Sarinah

Thanks to all the folks that came out to Satay Sarinah (http://sataysarinah.com/homepage.htm) for the first ever "Tastebuds" NAAAP-DC Dinner Series event. Special thanks to Chef Sony and Sonya for the great food and hospitality!

Chive Tips with Tofu

The Indonesian menu selected by Chef Sony included:
1. Resoles Sarinah / Sarinah Egg Rolls
Fried, breaded soft crepe filled with marinated ground beef and vegetables.
2. Ikan Bumbu Bali / Balinese Fish Filet
Fresh fish filet, lightly battered and topped with a Balinese hot and spicy sauce.
3. Ayam Bumbu Rujak / Hot & Spicy Grilled Chicken
Grilled chicken deep marinated in a hot and spicy coconut-milk based sauce.
4. Sate Makassar / Beef Satay
5. Bakmi Goreng / Fried NoodlesIndonesian egg noodles stir fried with chicken and vegetables using Indonesian herbs and spices.
6. Chive tops with Fried Tofu
7. Pisang Goreng
Traditional Indonesian fried bananas.

Es Campur
Mixed tropical fruits including lychee, pineapple, young coconut, jackfruit, and grass jelly topped with shaved ice, pandan syrup, and milk.
