Dance Asia 2007, is in its 4th annual production, and is proud to be a part of Dance DC Festival again this year. The objectives of Dance Asia has been clear from its inception - to showcase the diversity of Asia through the Art of Movement; to raise public awareness on the intricacies of Asian dance forms; and to promote and cultivate interest in Asian dance culture.

This year's theme is "Asia in Nature - Earth, Rivers & Mountains”. Multiple local/regional Asian dance troupes will each present a dance segment that illustrates their ties to their natural environment. Through their movements and depictions, audiences will experience their love, pain, attachment, dependence, reverence as well as apprehension to their natural environment.
The Kennedy Center co-presents this festival with the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities.
