21st Annual NAAAP National Convention and Diversity Career Fair Comes to Atlanta in August 2007
The National Association of Asian American Professionals (NAAAP)'s 21st Annual NAAAP National Convention and Diversity Career Fair will be in Atlanta from August 16 - 19, 2007 at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta. This year, the convention boasts the theme of "Catalyst for Growth: Awareness, Opportunity, Leadership". The NAAAP-Atlanta chapter was named "Chapter of the Year in 2005" and again in 2006 by NAAAP National. Mobilizing over fifty local and national volunteers in the planning process, the NAAAP Convention Planning Co-chairs expect an equally dynamic atmosphere during the convention and will play host to APA professionals and corporate sponsors as they come together to promote the professional development of APAs across North America.
"We are excited to host the NAAAP National Convention in our home city, and look forward to sharing our energy and enthusiasm with our convention guests in August," says Brenda Tran, president of the NAAAP-Atlanta chapter. Adds Betty Lo, one of three co-chairs of the National Convention, "We have taken best practices established by previous conventions, and have come up with new programs this year to make this a memorable experience for our attendees and sponsors ."
Impactful Workshops to Energize and Motivate
The NAAAP National Convention will offer more than 20 panels and workshops focused on leadership, management, entrepreneurship, diversity and community service. This year, three workshop tracks have been have been identified for the convention: Professional Development and Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Asian Living.
High-Quality Recruitment Opportunities
The NAAAP National Convention also features a two-day diversity career fair featuring leading companies from all over North America that recognize diversity in all levels of their workforce. College graduates and professionals seeking to advance their careers will find the Diversity Career Fair an intimate yet vibrant forum to engage recruitment officers on career opportunities and diversity issues in the corporate workplace.

The NAAAP National Convention and Diversity Career Fair continue to evolve into a marquee annual event for Asian American professionals from all across North America.
